On 17.08.2013 DB Tech, Hassan centre conducted HIV/
AIDS awareness programme for the students. The Resource person Mrs.
Bhagyalakshmi, Principal of Mangala Nursing College, oriented aspirants on what
is HIV & AIDS, how AIDS spreads, what is the measures to prevent from AIDS.
She also informed that, AIDS patients should be treated like common person and
AIDS doesn’t spread by sharing food, using common toilet etc. She said in
Hassan district only there are above 6000 people affected from the HIV/ AIDS.
It is only through love and care we can support the people living with
HIV. She also informed the students
about NACO and how it helps in controlling AIDS and urged the need of young
people aware common people in the society about HIV/AIDS.
The session was well received from the trainees and
they cleared their doubts by raising various questions. The session helped
trainees to gain more knowledge on HIV/ AIDS.
